TWO CLASSES!

The PAC has transfered two classes to the North Carroll Rec Council Dance Studio in Manchester, Md. - A Irish Step Variations class and a Musical Theater Class for ages 5-12.

ENDING ON A HIGH NOTE

The weekly classes at North Carroll High School have now ended. We thank you for your commitment. Our end of the season performances were so much fun.

WE ARE OPEN AGAIN!

The snow has melted off of the roofs of the portables and we can have classes again! See you this week. Please remember that we are in jeopardy of closing due to poor attendance. Invite your friends and spread the word.

THE PORTABLES ARE CLOSED THIS WEEK!

Unfortunately, I have just been notified that the portables at NCHS still have heavy snow on the roof and they have been closed another week for the safety of the children. I apologize for this inconvenience, but better to be safe than sorry! The warmer weather and upcoming rain will allow them to reopen next week, on MARCH 1st. Due to all of the previous cancelled school activities, there is no available school space for us, inside the school, this week. If you have already paid your February monthly fee, please don't worry - it will be applied to March. If your child attended a class the first week of February, only an extra $5.00 fee will be due. I hope to see you all (and clear skies) in March.

On a side note: our January and 1st week of February attendance was very low and the P.A.C. is in jeopardy! Please invite your friends to attend in March. Our wonderful, qualified, teachers are paid employees and if we don't have the students (at least 5 per class) they cannot work. I have cut hours and classes to try to stay open. We have very little overhead and all of my hours are volunteer hours, but we not only need the current students to keep attending - we also need new students to continue our program. Invite everyone you know. Please stay tuned for more information.

FEBRUARY CLASSES / SNOW

The P.A.C. will be closed President's Day Week. We hope to resume classes on Monday, 2/22/10. However, the integrity of the portables are in question due to the heavy snow on the roofs. am trying to secure alternate NCHS classrooms just in case the portables are not safe for Monday, 2/22/10. Please check this website on Monday afternoon for class locations or class cancellations. If the upcoming snow cancels school, cancels after-school activities or causes schools to close early., The P.A.C. is also closed. Thank you for your understanding.

CLOSINGS:

The Carroll County School system has cancelled all afternoon and evening activities, due to impending snow. As you know, when schools are closed, we must close. Therefor, there are NO PAC CLASSES TONIGHT, TUES., Feb., 2nd.
Happy Phil Day! Six more weeks of winter apparently starts tonight.

We thank North Carroll High for allowing us to use their facilities, but when schools are closed The PAC needs to be closed, as well. Therefore, we will be closed on Monday, January 18th (for Martin Luther King Jr. Day) and Monday, January 25th (for a public school in-service day).

Mini-Musical, Wednesdays, 6-7pm (replacing the rescheduled Theater Fun-damentals)
Monologues for Middle/High, Wednesdays 7-8pm (combining with Actor’s Studio)
Musical Theater for Middle/High, Wednesdays 6-7pm (combining with Mini-Musical)

VOICE:
Sing Out Loud I for Mini-Musical, Wednesdays, 7-8pm, (combining with Let’s Sing II)
Sing Out Loud III for Middle/High, Wednesdays, 6-7pm (combining with Let’s Sing III)
Sing Out Loud II for Musical Theater, Wednesdays, 6-7pm (combining with Let’s Sing II)

BEAT THE WINTER BLUES!

So it's finally winter! We hope you had a fabulous holiday and that you ready to start preparing for our end of the year program. Between now and June, attendance is extremely important. Our class sizes are growing, but a few classes had to be combined and a few canceled due to poor enrollment. But most classes remained the same. We have decided to start the New Year small with the NEW addition our revamped FILM Department. We are offering Tuesday night classes in movie making, screenwriting, special effects and behind the scenes. Check our schedule and class descriptions for more details. See you at the theater!

All changes have been posted in "Class Schedule" and "Class Descriptions". A couple of classes were canceled due to poor attendance, a couple of classes switched times/evenings, and a few classes morphed into new classes. Take a look!
